The coast between Kusadasi and Bodrum
For this area we have two suggested cruises:
FROM KUSADASI to BODRUM
(6-10 days, including some of the sites at the Gulf of Gulluk)
Kusadasi is known in Turkey as a main holiday center. Once known as Scala Nova, the town boasts wonderful seafood restaurants, cafes, great shopping areas, beautiful parks and sandy beaches.
From Kusadasi, you can easily visit the ancient site of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary, a highlight of any visit to Turkey.
South of Kusadasi, the beautiful waters of the Dilek Peninsula National Park welcome yachtsmen into its serene inlets and coves.
Another site worth seeing sailing towards Bodrum is the Temple of Apollo at Didim, one of the most sacred places of antiquity. Many times looted and burned, the sanctuary still impresses with its elegant beauty.
GULF OF GULLUK
(5-7 days)
Just after Didim, the Gulluk Gulf can provide a whole vacation in itself with four large natural bays and numerous coves and inlets. The whole area has excellent moorings, and scuba divers will be particularly interested in exploring these waters. In Iassos you can visit more sites and take advantage of one of the many excellent local restaurants for a wonderful fish lunch. As you sail out of this beautiful gulf, the Bodrum Peninsula welcomes you.
This route can also be followed from Bodrum going north. In that case we suggest the itinerary be Bodrum-Didim-Bodrum stopping in all the sites described above.
